lyrics
Another brand new recording special for this release, but I actually wrote it back in late 2013. I didn't finish the lyrics until recording it in 2016, however. The origin of the high school legend told in the song was actually from a dream I had, in which one of my friends was upset that he didn't get to take some girl named Mariah Dibbs out on a date to a basketball game. This song is pure fiction and I don't even know if anyone named Mariah Dibbs even exists. Previously unreleased.
Lyrics:
My buddy met her at the basketball game
I almost had a heart attack when he said her name
Because I recognized instantly
She's the girl on a killing spree
Even if you're full of doubt
You better run away if she asks you out
Mariah Dibbs
Woah oh oh oh oh
Mariah Dibbs
have you heard of her?
Mariah Dibbs
Woah oh oh oh oh
Mariah Dibbs
She's a murderer
My friends all say she looks like a beauty queen
And anyone could fall for her without knowing a thing
They could be tempted by all her charms
Unaware that she carries fire arms
Her hair looks nice and smells great too
I think uses pretty girl shampoo
Mariah Dibbs
Woah oh oh oh oh
Mariah Dibbs
have you heard of her?
Mariah Dibbs
Woah oh oh oh oh
Mariah Dibbs
She's a murderer
The lead singer of punk band Camp Cope ventures into romantic synth-pop territory, tempering slick arrangements with bare sentiment.
