Today I wrote a message that looks on the upsides
I stuffed it in a bottle and I headed outside
Walked down to the river and threw the bottle in
I hope that it found it's way to someone who needed it
We could sure complain about all that's going wrong
But instead we could just laugh it off and feel better before long
I wrote this song to cheer you up if you're lonely in your room
All the days are passing by, but you can cure your gloom
Bring joy to those around you
It's what we should all try to do
Give them one good reason to throw problems out the door
And then maybe everyone could see
A difference in what can be
With a dorky smile and a couple cheesy jokes
Oh when it rains let's just embrace it and have a little fun
I also don't mind hotter days cuz I'll just soak up the sun
And when the song that drives you mad is on the radio
Just sing along like you don't care and treat it like a joke
Bring joy to those around you
It's what we should all try to do
Give them one good reason to throw problems out the door
And then maybe everyone could see
A difference in what can be
With a dorky smile and a couple cheesy jokes
