Verse 1:
Every time I see you, my heart skips a beat
Got me feelin’ mushy all over when I see you on the street
Every time you pass me by
I never seem to catch your eye
I was watching you from far away and waiting for the day
Every time I dream at night
The distance between us goes away
It’s like you’ve been here all along
Chorus 1:
Now I’m cryin’ out
Could you help me now?
Could you grant me this one wish?
That these dreams could fall in place
We’d fall in love
Now I’m at a point where I expect the pain
Will it ever end?
Goodnight, tonight alone again
Fuwa fuwa time (fuwa fuwa time)
Fuwa fuwa time (fuwa fuwa time)
Fuwa fuwa time (fuwa fuwa time)
Verse 2:
Another day is here, another day I can’t predict
I overthink your smile until I know I’ve made myself sick
Then I try to close my eyes
Start to overanalyze
Thinking back to the day I saw you looking so intense
Even in my dreams at night
I still find I want you here
We could share this sweet time for two
Chorus 2:
Now I’m cryin’ out
Could you help me now?
Could you grant me this one wish?
That these dreams could fall in place
We’d fall in love
Now I’m at a point where I expect the pain
Will it ever end?
Will I lay awake tonight again?
Soft bridge:
If I could just work up the guts I need
I’d talk to you just like I dream
But even if I ever could proceed
Would anything really change?
Rap bridge:
And that’s hardest part of all when these thoughts intrude my head
What good excuse do I have for the stupid things I said?
Whatever could I say?
I don’t even have a way
It ain’t natural, okay?
Should I say hello or just hey?
That's enough, now go to sleep
Just go to sleep, just go to sleep
Chorus 3:
Now I’m cryin’ out
Could you help me now?
Grant a miracle just once
I won’t ask for anything else ever again
When it all comes down, we can work it out
We could talk with daily prose
And maybe see where it goes
Fuwa fuwa time (fuwa fuwa time)
Fuwa fuwa time (fuwa fuwa time)
Fuwa fuwa time (fuwa fuwa time)
about
Earlier this year, Preston and I had the wacky idea to do some covers of songs from various TV shows. This first one comes straight from the classic anime series "K-ON!", but with a major twist: we've overhauled all of the lyrics from their original Japanese into English. We hope you enjoy the track, and stay tuned next week for another TV cover!
